My friend is hosting a viewing party for the Hallmark Movie of the Week Riding on the Bus with My Handicapped Sister (or something close to that). It's adapted from a book for sad widows and stars Rosie "I Like Boobs" O'Donnelllll and Andie "Green Card" MacDowelllll...I'll let you know how it goes.

POST-PARTY UPDATE: "Riding The Bus" = uh...in short (bus): 3 different bus lines (at least) for what was apparently a 3-block neighborhood. Andie's Botoxed face registering only placid grumpies and hyena-fang happy. Best dialogue? "YOU'RE WEIRD!!" "Well, so are YOU!!" Childhood flashbacks with a girl-dormroom-pastel watercolor wash. And yes, a moment (Daria called it) when Hallmark Cards were exchanged bewteen sad sisters.

I'm also hunting for a burn/collection of all of the Hallmark commercials shown during the breaks. My favorites were Hoodlum Girl Gets Card Of Encouragement From Prinicpal And Reads It In A Sunbeam In The Hall + Former Teacher (educationally-bent, these were) Has Alzheimer's, Maybe (Potential Forced Retirement Subtext) But Remembers Former Student's Science Report From 81 Years Ago After She Returns To Thank Him For The Inspiration And Gives Him A Card.
