Holiday-style Mum, soused and rumpled: "Sweetheart, do you know what's exhilarating?"

Me (also out of my gourd, laying on the couch in my sweatpants that have the weird hems): "Wha?"

Mum: "Exhilaration."

ADDENDUM 11/26: I just did a pointless proper name sweep wherein Mum was changed to Ma (she goes by both), and then back again. Also, I now own a $48 candle.
