shakey bye-bye

There are smells that are 100% all-the-way extinct. Same with some flavors. Whole, dead snack items that are no longer made and never will be. And some lotions and spritzes once used by frail parlourlady types, and persimmon-and-caramel scented talcs, circa 1911. Dead scents. Dead tastes. Dead flavors. I don't think you can resurrect these kinds of things. Somehow this makes me sadder than a strain of dolphins dying.

But know what isn't extinct? "Shakes" by Tones on Tail, the song so good it makes itself nervous.
